In the Loop: A Sound is a Sound is a Sound – From Amplification and Looping to Creative Output

This workshop invites anyone who wants to take an experimental and playful approach to effects devices. Together, we will dive into the world of amplified sounds and electronic effects. In various settings, we will test different microphones and (loop) effects devices – with instruments we bring along, with our voices or … anything that makes a sound can be used as a sound source. The aim is to get a feel for the possibilities of amplified and distorted sounds, to open our ears to unfamiliar acoustic experiences and to experiment creatively with signals. No prior knowledge is necessary – just bring an open ear!
