Reis DESCRIPTION:WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT?   \nby Steffi Alte\, Saskia Te Nicklin & Patrícia J. Reis  \n  \nOpening: 29.9.2023\, 19h \nMidd opening: 14.10.2023\, 19h \nFinissage: 3.11.2023\, 19h \n  \nExhibition duration: 30.9 – 3.11.2023 \nOpening hours: Every Saturday from 14h to 18th \n  \nAbout the exhibition: \n“A culture of domination is anti-love. It requires violence to sustain itself. To choose love is to go against the prevailing values of the culture. Many people feel unable to love either themselves or others because they do not know what love is.” Bell Hooks (1994) \nIn the light of the current situation deeply shaped by conflicts and disasters caused by anthropocentric politics\, actions and practices\, we ask ourselves the question: “What’s love got to do with it?”  \nIn her writings Bell Hooks identifies Love as a blind spot within the human struggle for liberation\, from oppression and exploitation. The white male supremacist domination of the planet attributed to love becoming a symptom of weakness\, that love has no value. We might have forgotten what love really is or perhaps we’ve never really understood its meaning since it became capitalized and traded as a commodity-chain\, sold as desire that can and should be consumed at a fast pace. Love in its true meaning is something that people might feel ashamed to relate with\, as an old-fashioned concept\, in the same way Tina Turner declined love in her musical success hit in 1984. \nLoving is a verb that demands for action and for choice and can become an important tool to decolonize and to demystify systems of oppression. We need to critically question our position within the planet of beings and things. To love is to care for the others. Love is rooted in community\, in exchange and democratic choices. In order to recover love we need social changes rooted in new love ethics. The exhibition “What’s love got to do with it?” aims to be an essay and a tribute to new love politics acknowledging caring as a crucial facet of Love for creating\, repairing\, and empowering our relations with the world.  \n  \n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nPhoto © Janine Schranz \nWith the kind support of: \n  \n \n  \n \n  URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/whats-love-got-to-do-with-it-by-steffi-alte-saskia-te-nicklin-patricia-j-reis/ LOCATION:Mz*Baltazar’s Laboratory\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Wien\, 1200\, Austria CATEGORIES:exhibition ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/AlteNiklinReis-061023-2-scaled.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC:20230901T190000 DTEND;TZID=UTC:20230921T190000 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20230827T174900Z LAST-MODIFIED:20231005T110951Z UID:5711-1693594800-1695322800@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:Exhibition Interstitial Alchemy by Catarina Reis DESCRIPTION:Interstitial Alchemy by Catarina Reis \nIn ancient times practitioners of alchemy sought the transmutation of matter and the production of an elixir that would induce rejuvenation and cure all diseases\, in a time when art\, science\, and mysticism belonged to the same realm. Although most of alchemy’s claims have been disproved by modern science\, we now acknowledge its influence on the development of scientific methods. Through  speculative and ‘magical’ practices and narratives\, alchemists dreamed of science for the future. \nInterstitial Alchemy presents an experiment of practice-based artistic research\, that speculates on the healing of aquatic ecosystems\, through a process of transmutation of micro pollutants. The transmutation is mediated by a set of objects made from Zeolite clay. Zeolites possess a cage-like molecular structure that enables the selective ‘trapping’ of pollutants and toxins. To optimize this property\, the work tests the production of porous and permeable objects\, creating micro interstitial spaces\, that could contribute to different ecological functions. This work is particularly interested in how an intervention on a microscale can affect broader ecosystems and their territories. In the last years scientists have demonstrated that ecological variability at small spatial scales—often less than a square meter — can have very significant consequences in big territories. So could we perform micro interventions that produce relevant transformations\, potentially independent from anti-ecological political and economic and forces? \nThe installation is composed of three water tanks\, connected through a water flow circuit. In the main tank is a set of Zeolite ceramic objects\, capable of purifying the water. Behind the main water tank there are two screens representing two different scales of this system. In the other two tanks there is clean water\, which the public is invited to contaminate with heavy metals and toxins\, performing the role of a pollutant agent. Through this interaction the public is confronted with the negative effects of human actions in local aquatic environments\, but also with the possibility of their remediation. While the water is flowing\, the objects trap the noxious substances\, changing their microstructure and physical appearance. \nThe design of these objects is inspired by the study of estuary oysters and freshwater pearl mussels – fundamental ecosystem healers capable of filtering  dozens of liters of water per day. The species of freshwater pearl mussel Margaritifera margaritifera is currently endangered in the Danube\, even though it can live up to 100 years or even more. As many other mollusks\, mussels form pearls when a strange particle\, bacteria or virus penetrates inside of the shell\, by building layers of nacre. In this work\, Catarina proposes to explore an ‘alchemic’ transmutation of micro pollutants inspired by oysters and mollusks’ capacity to persist and create beauty out of trauma. \nOpening: 1.9.2023 \nExhibition duration: 2.9.- 21.9.2023 \nOpening hours from 14h to 19h: 2.9\, 3.9\, 10.9\, 11.9 \n  \n \n  \nWith the kind support \n \n \n \n \n  URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/exhibition-interstitial-alchemy-by-catarina-reis/ LOCATION:Mz*Baltazar’s Laboratory\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Wien\, 1200\, Austria CATEGORIES:exhibition ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/proj-imagem-1-scaled.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC:20230603T190000 DTEND;TZID=UTC:20230609T220000 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20230526T125551Z LAST-MODIFIED:20230920T110516Z UID:5635-1685818800-1686348000@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:DAS FOTOSTUDIO by Lisa Großkopf DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nVernissage: 03.06.23\, 19h – 22h \nExhibition duration: 02.06. – 09.06.23 \nArtists Talk: 09.06.23\,18h\nArtists Talk with Lisa Großkopf and Bernadette Anzengruber; Moderation: Romana Hagyo in cooperation with “Gender and Space”\, Academy of Fine Arts Vienna \nFinissage: 09.06.23\, 19h – 22h \nFurther opening hours:\n02.06. – 04.06.23\, 14 – 18h in the context of the “Independent Space Index Festival”\n07.06.23\, 17 – 19h\nand by appointment: mail@lisagrosskopf.net \nWHERE \nMz* Baltazar’s Lab \nJägerstraße 52-54 \n1200 Wien\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT \nIn ihrer Werkserie Das Fotostudio beleuchtet Lisa Großkopf soziale Normengerüste unserer Gegenwart aus einer kritisch-feministischen Perspektive. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nENGLISH VERSION \nLisa Großkopf’s series “The Photographic Studio” explores social norms in our contemporary society from a critical feminist perspective. The artist stages fictional photo studios in the storefronts of former shops and showcases queer visual imagery. Through subtle interventions or striking modifications\, Großkopf creates unsettling shifts that undermine traditional notions of gender roles. Her installations showcase counter-hegemonic lifestyles\, pluralistic forms of relationships\, and non-binary gender identities.\nGiven that conventional photo studios often convey a conservative family model and reproduce traditional gender roles\, the artist’s work discusses the increasing diversification of family The staging in the photo studio as a means of critical deconstruction of reality demonstrates how photography\, traditionally attributed to its representational qualities\, leads to the reproduction of certain habits of seeing and stereotypes over decades\, or how it could potentially be changed. By using the semi-public space of the shop window\, Großkopf invites a broad public to engage in a dialogue about current societal changes. \n*** ENGILSH VERSION \nIn the exhibition “Photons received\, photons responded” two artists and scientists show their latest works – based on their exchange and their joint examination of solar radiation and the radiation processes that surround us. Curiously following the trajectories of the photons sensitizes to the non-linearity and periodicity of the processes. The artistic dismantling of physical-optical laws in the darkroom\, as well as measurement and numerical modeling of the radiative transfer of the atmosphere\, show that the laws of nature surprise and enchant us again and again. \nThe electromagnetic radiation (also the light) from the solar core meltdown of the sun reaches the earth and enables life on our planet. This radiation penetrates and warms our atmosphere\, enabling photosynthesis\, powering our weather system\, and responsible for myriad complex interactions. Even fossil fuels are indirectly based on the sun’s nuclear fusion. Only a small part of this abundance is perceived or used. \nThe artists promise nothing or make any claims\, but offer a scientific focus in an artistic context. Experimental photographic works\, a sound work\, a performative intervention\, an artistic-system analytic research text\, a light installation and plots of numerical simulation results can be seen. \n  \nOpening: 05.05.2023\, 19h \nDuration: 06.05.–19.05.2023 \nArtist talk: 13.05.2023\, 17h \nOpening hours: \nSaturday 06.05.2023\, 16h–19h\nSaturday 13.05.2023\, 12h–19h \nFinissage: 19.05.2023\, 19h–22h \n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nPhoto © Flavio Palasciano \n  \nWith the kind support: \n \n \n  \n  URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/photons-received-photons-responded-exhibition-by-heidi-trimmel-and-gerburg-neunteufl-pipina-schickaneder/ LOCATION:Mz*Baltazar’s Laboratory\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Wien\, 1200\, Austria CATEGORIES:exhibition ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Gerburg-Neunteufl-Pipina-Schickaneder-Photogram-2023-aus-der-Serie-Der-neue-Treibstoff-ist-flussiges-Licht-3-scaled.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC:20230310T190000 DTEND;TZID=UTC:20230310T220000 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20230303T094518Z LAST-MODIFIED:20230920T110348Z UID:5575-1678474800-1678485600@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:Mud-Group#3: Who Has Land to Make a Fire? a collaborative project by Celine Struger\, Kristin Weissenberger & Patrícia J. Reis DESCRIPTION:DE \nMz* Baltazar’s Lab freut sich\, die erste Ausstellung des neuen Jahresprogramms anzukündigen\, welches einen Schwerpunkt auf kollaborative Projekte von Künstler*innen legt. Mud-Group#3: Who Has Land to Make a Fire? ist ein Projekt\, das vom künstlerischen Forschungsprojekt Feminist Hacking: Building Circuit as an Artistic Practice (PEEK AR 580) und somit vom FWF (Wissenschaftsfonds) unterstützt und mitfinanziert wurde. \n  \nEN \nMz* Baltazar’s Lab is proud to announce the first exhibition of our 2023 program focusing on collaborative artist projects between female* identified artists.   \nCeline Struger\, Kristin Weissenberger & Patrícia J. Reis collaborated for the first time in a joint project on the intersection of ceramics and its cultural and feminist background. The artists coming from different backgrounds and practices aim to shed light on the emancipation history of female artists and their exploration of the relationship between ceramics\, hacking and other fields of art. \nThe exhibition will feature the result of a collaboration that was initiated two years ago\, highlighting  their recent collaborative action at the Donauinsel in Vienna\, in which they reclaim public space as a radical attitude towards sustainable and ethical hardware\, autonomy\, and a DIY approach to ceramic production. Visitors will witness the group’s artwork\, including their ceramics produced using traditional techniques\, as well as the documentation of their action. \nThe collaboration journey began with their shared interest in ceramics and their exploration of traditional techniques to resist capitalist production methods. The group furthered their commitment to anti-capitalist practices by incorporating sustainable methods for producing ceramics. They continued their exploration of autonomy by reclaiming and hacking the city infrastructure and questioning the idea of public space and ownership. \nThe exhibition also aims to showcase feminist hacking as a strategy for emancipation in the art\, science\, and technology fields. This approach to new materialism promotes emancipation through the agency of materials\, and visitors will be able to witness this in action throughout the exhibition. \nThe exhibition is also the third season of the serie titled Mud-Group\, a project initiated by Kristin Weissenberger that revolves around the group’s collaborative and artistic process\, using ceramics as their primary medium for exploration. The Mud-Group#3: Who Has Land to Make a Fire? is a project supported and co-financed by the Research PEEK Project Feminist Hacking: Building Circuits as an Artistic Practice\, Financed by the FWF – Austrian Science Fund | PEEK (AR580) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna conducted by Stefanie Wuschitz\, Patrícia J. Reis and Taguhi Torosyan\, who are co-curators in this exhibition.  \nMz* Baltazar’s Lab 2023 program is supported by Bundesministerium für Kunst\, Kultur\, öffentlichen Dienst und Sport (Kunst und Kultur) and the Kulturabteilung der Stadt Wien.  \n \n  \nWith the kind support: \n  \n \n \n \n  \nPhoto©Flavio Palasciano URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/mud-group3-who-has-land-to-make-a-fire-a-collaborative-project-by-celine-struger-kristin-weissenberger-patricia-j-reis/ LOCATION:Mz*Baltazar’s Laboratory\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Wien\, 1200\, Austria CATEGORIES:exhibition ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PEEK_Web_66-1.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC:20230210T190000 DTEND;TZID=UTC:20230210T220000 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20230130T094406Z LAST-MODIFIED:20230920T105806Z UID:5530-1676055600-1676066400@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:Resonating Sculptures & Radio Cyborg Transmitter RCT DESCRIPTION:Ausstellung von Reni Hofmüller \n\n\n\n11.2. \n_____ \n  \nRecognize yourself – \n a contribution to Lena Violetta Leitner’s exhibition  \n“Delphi 2.0 (Phyto-Pythia)” \nLena Violetta Leitner’s artistic work\, which will be on display as part of “Delphi 2.0 (Phyto-Pythia)” at Mz*Baltazar’s Lab from Sept. 23rd to Oct. 21st\, 2022\, deals with various aspects of the institution of the oracle and the associated dimension of the future. Especially the here and now is potentially characterized by great uncertainties as well as life-changing crises\, so it is essential for the artist not to let ourselves be guided by associated fears and uncertainties\, but to work against them with the power of the collective. With a feminist attitude and in the spirit of solidarity\, Leitner wants to create space for exchange\, interactivity and discourse. Thus\, she invites her colleagues Valerie Habsburg and Ege Kökel to a conversation within the framework of the exhibition\, followed by a “Tea Talk” (read the tea leaves) and venturing a look into the future. \nExperimentation\, inventiveness and dialogue run like a thread through Leitner’s artistic-creative work. Her research for the respective projects is usually based on years of research and manifests itself in installations\, interventions or performances. In the course of a residency in Athens\, the artist took a closer look at the oracle site of Delphi. An area steeped in the history of Greek antiquity\, to which many people made pilgrimages and sought answers to their great questions. Leitner made 3D scans of the fragments still visible today on the spot and then superimposed them with recordings of her screen as well as technically produced glitches. The resulting video work invites the viewer in an immersive world\, pointing on the one hand to processuality and change – aspects that go hand in hand with prophecy – and on the other to a status quo.  \nBecause the cult site no longer carries all the information\, many are broken and destroyed\, errors or uncertainties can creep in\, bringing systemic openness into awareness.  \nWith “PFLANZENORAKEL” the artist not only transfers the idea of the oracle\, but creates an interactive installation consisting of plants. If the visitor positions themself in the midst of the plants\, some of which originate from foreign countries\, they emit ambiguous oracle sayings after being touched. Leitner chose for this purpose the bow hemp\, also called mother-in-law’s tongue\, the dragon tree and the Japanese knotweed. The former creates an association with the saying “to have a pointed tongue\,” which means not to be afraid of the truth. The second draws a connection to mythology: for the dragon Python is said to have once lived in Delphi\, and after it was killed by Apollo\, its gift as a seer was transferred to the place through the spilled dragon’s blood. The third is known as a particularly resilient and invasive plant that will outlast us all and addresses the temporal plane. The terracotta pots are reminiscent of ancient amphorae\, again a reference to the particular place of worship. \nThe future has always been a projection surface for people’s hopes and plans\, but it is always influenced by uncertainty and the fears that accompany it\, thus complicating or even blocking the possible realization of those. To face these\, to deal with them positively and to work on them collectively is the topic of another interactive action. \nWith edible\, bright colors and glitter\, visitors are invited to declare war on their innermost fears. Visualized on wafers\, documented in the next step with a Polaroid camera and finally internalized. In this way\, the artist starts an archive of collective fears to show that we are not alone and can create much more together. This is not only a motto in Leitner’s art\, but also a personal belief. \nThe phenomenon oracle undergoes reappraisal with a view to several facets\, at the same time the exhibition seeks to intervene this institution and provide means to create positive spaces of possibility and demand their realization. \nauthor: \nPaula Marschalek  \n \n  URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/delphi-2-0-phyto-pythia-exhibition-by-lena-violetta-leitner/ LOCATION:Mz*Baltazar’s Laboratory\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Wien\, 1200\, Austria CATEGORIES:exhibition ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/leitner_lenavioletta_tremate-scaled.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC:20220914T190000 DTEND;TZID=UTC:20221028T220000 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20220901T100837Z LAST-MODIFIED:20230920T105917Z UID:5324-1663182000-1666994400@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:SALON OF OPEN SECRETS – Mz* Baltazar’s Lab - Kunstraumproart DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n\n\nSALON OF OPEN SECRETS – Mz* Baltazar’s Lab\nOlivia Jaques\, Patricia J. Reis and Stefanie Wuschitz \n30th of May\, 19h  Lecture/Artist talk \nAt AIL Angewandte Innovation Lab\, Georg-Coch-Platz 2\, 1010 Wien \n  \nGaia Leandra and Ce Quimera\, currently the resident artists at Hangar’s wetlab in Barcelona\, will present their artistic work and the projects developed within the well known bioart laboratory. Since 2021 they are carrying out Bioxeno\, a project that aims to generate new narratives in the intersection between science and art using different tools\, techniques\, disciplines and practices. They understand bioart as a place of strength\, taking a critical point of view to the movement of knowledge and its production by science. The project is inspired by Lynn Margullis\, who studied for several years microorganisms located in the ecosystem of the Catalunya territory. \nStarting from establishing interspecies relations with bacterial communities\, specifically the cyanobacteria of the Ebro Delta (Catalunya\, Spain)\, taking into account our human limitations and the need for technology to mediate interspecies relations\, they ask in their research: What artistic formats could show/translate this type of link without reproducing anthropocentric or colonial views? How to account for biodiversity and the extractivism present in the ecosystems we inhabit? How do we think of the bio as life? How do we think of our lives? Or rather\, how do we live them? \nAt these present times in which catastrophe and disaster seem to be the only possible scenarios in near futures\, these times in which the visible eco-social alternatives seem to have come to an end\, they find it crucial to generate new narratives\, new stories about possible livable futures able to challenge our present ways of living and how we relate to each other and to the other living beings that inhabit planet Earth. \n  \nSUPPORTERS: Institut ramon llull\, Government of Catalonia (Delegation to Central Europe) \nBioxeno project has had the support of the “Premios Barcelona 2020” Grants from the Barcelona City Council and with the support of Hangar.org for our two-year residency at the wetlab (Gaia Leandra + Ce Quimera 2020-2022). \nPARTNERS: AIL Angewandte Innovation Lab  \n  \n  URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/artist-talk-the-wetness-of-hacking-a-transhacking-feminist-perspectives-from-wetlab-barcelona-by-gaia-leandra-and-ce-quimera-wetlab/ LOCATION:AIL Angewandte Innovation Lab\, Georg-Coch-Platz 2\, Vienna\, 1010\, Austria CATEGORIES:artist talk ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/DSC_3262.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC:20220527T190000 DTEND;TZID=UTC:20220610T220000 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20220511T124032Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220819T114139Z UID:5006-1653678000-1654898400@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:EXHIBITION Louisa speaks: Intimate dialogues on language\, technology and biohacking by Giulia Tomasello curated by Arianna Forte DESCRIPTION:Louisa speaks: Intimate dialogues on language\, technology and biohacking by Giulia Tomasello curated by Arianna Forte\nEXHIBITION OPENING: 27th of May\, 19h  \nat Mz* Baltazar’s Lab\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Vienna \nDURATION: 28th May – 10th June \nFINISSAGE: 10th June\, 19h \nABOUT: \nWho is Louisa? \nLouisa is every woman who has to deal with issues concerning her body and also her intimacy everyday. The great diversity of aesthetic-political actions accompanying the protest render visible the evocation of rage as a shared collective subjectivity and thus a renewed feminist agency that is verbalized in the slogan “Somos malas\, podemos ser peores (We are bad\, we can be worse)!” The affective interventions permeated with fury\, anger\, and despair over the devastating situation of gender violence created shared ways of sensing and being affected by violence: For example\, by painting red circles simulating blood outside the police station or graffities with the slogan #Femicidestate in historical monuments. We argue that the intertwining of affects and political practices in these performances and protests (characterized by bringing their affects to the political arena) transgressed the hegemonic aesthetic and political imaginary of how women should protest and what kind of affects they are allowed to bring into public spaces. The response to the protests in the media and social networks resulted on practices of disciplining their affects and thus their bodies\, as women were condemned as violent and even irrational. However\, the protests showed new repertories of doing affective feminist politics. In this presentation\, we reflect on the potential of the affective-political practices emerging from these protests to disrupt current cycles of impunity as a form of resistance. \n  URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/exhibition-pink-glitter-violence-by-mirjana-mitrovic/ LOCATION:Mz*Baltazar’s Laboratory\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Wien\, 1200\, Austria CATEGORIES:artist talk, exhibition ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MG_1144-scaled.jpeg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC:20220516T180000 DTEND;TZID=UTC:20220516T200000 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20220511T122648Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220607T170534Z UID:4998-1652724000-1652731200@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:ARTIST LECTURE Electronic Pirouettes: sound as movement in circuitry by Ioana Vreme Moser DESCRIPTION:Electronic Pirouettes: sound as movement in circuitry \nby Ioana Vreme Moser\n16th of May\, 18h-20h \nARTIST LECTURE hybrid \nLocation: Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien\, Sitzungssaal Erdgeschoss  \nSchillerplatz 3\, 1010 Vienna \nVideostream: https://meet.jit.si/fhf \n  \nABOUT: \nThis lecture takes the pathway of an ex-ballerina through fluid computers\, plant espionage\, cosmetic synthesisers and electronic lollipops. \nWe will tackle the seductive side and hidden narratives of circuitry in relation to natural systems\, salty fluids and beauty rituals and discuss the importance of alternative hardware in the context of a global electronic shortage. While at hoast the focus was on techniques of inclusion and exclusion within a given architecture or within the image field\, the exhibition at Mz* Baltazar’s Lab will examine possibilities of communication between inside and outside\, from artwork to artwork\, and between real space and image space.\nwww.danielazeilinger.com URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/blend-together/ LOCATION:Mz*Baltazar’s Laboratory\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Wien\, 1200\, Austria CATEGORIES:exhibition END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20220311 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20220327 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20220225T153218Z LAST-MODIFIED:20240222T113502Z UID:4873-1646956800-1648339199@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:Exhibition by Daniela Zeilinger & Janine Schranz\, within the framework of PhotoWien DESCRIPTION:Immediate Flow URL:https://www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org/event/4873/ LOCATION:Mz*Baltazar’s Laboratory\, Jägerstraße 52-54\, Wien\, 1200\, Austria CATEGORIES:exhibition END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=UTC:20220216T173000 DTEND;TZID=UTC:20220216T200000 DTSTAMP:20240329T011612 CREATED:20220210T160232Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220210T160341Z UID:4865-1645032600-1645041600@www.mzbaltazarslaboratory.org SUMMARY:WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:  \nLive and Audio-Reactive w/ TouchDesigner\n\n“Live and Audio-Reactive w/ TouchDesigner” is a workshop using the node based visual programming language TouchDesigner\, a tool that allows to create visual content that is generative\, audio-reactive and runs real time.
